Dark Pyro is one of the three astral illusions on the Astral Plane created by Shadow King (the other two being Dark Blob and Dark Avalanche). During the X-Men's trip to the Astral Plane via the Astral Gate, Dark Pyro is stationed in the Hall of Fire.
