The X-Mansion is an institute for young mutants including X-Men and new mutants like Alison Crestmere who is new to the institute and is greeted happily by Jean Grey, and Charles Xavier founder and head of both the school and the legendary X-Men, while someday he might leave his place to Storm or Cyclops.
X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse[]
The X-Mansion becomes invaded by Apocalypse, who comes seeking the Xavier Protocol. After fighting off an enraged Beast defending the Mansion, Apocalypse soon leaves the Mansion with his new prisoner, while then declaring that Xavier "will be blind without Cerebro". An explosion then decimates almost the entire Mansion, leaving it in total ruins.
The X-Mansion becomes a center HUB base during Act 4. Here, the X-Men gather to formulate a plan against Apocalypse at his tower. Xavier reports that he, with the help of Moira MacTaggart are rebuilding the Sub-basement, re-installing Cerebro with a new successor known as Cerebra.
